Maqahamok is a project made possible thanks to the involvement of many people, including all those responsible for finance, culture, and economic development of the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation, in addition to the support of the elected officials of its Grand Council.

Maxime Lizotte, chef and pastry chef from the Wahsipekuk community, also acted as a consultant to bring his expertise to the development of the project, in order to bring it to fruition and become the chef and co-owner of the restaurant.
